Self-hostable alternatives we list that are no longer actively maintained.
Every month we scan the GitHub repo behind every alternative listed on os-alt and flag anything that hasn't shipped a commit in over a year (dead) or in 90–365 days (stale). Archived repos are also counted as dead.

Methodology: we hit the GitHub repos API for each tool listed on os-alt on the 1st of every month
and store the result. Health flags are derived from last_commit_at on the default branch.
